Autumn half term letter

Autumn half term letter

Dear Parents,

We are coming to the end of a busy half term and what a sunny Autumn it has been.  The children have had lots of time to enjoy the new playground and we have had lots of lovely comments about it. Thank you for the support you are giving your children with their “Learning Log” homework.  Some of the work children are doing is excellent and it is great to see how they are being helped at home.  Finally, thank you for supporting our Eid celebration day by sending in food and joining us for our party. It was a very enjoyable day.

If you bring your children to school in a car, please be safe and do not stop or park on the double yellow lines outside the school gate. The traffic wardens have told us that you are allowed to park in the car parks or the marked bays on Cecil Street for up to 10 minutes. They are making more regular patrols at the moment and we don’t want any parents to receive fines.

Harvest Assembly
Wednesday 21st October
2.15pm All parents welcome

Please send in tins or packets of food which will be donated to the Porch Boxes Project

Our School Football team has played one match already this season and although they didn’t win, they represented the school excellently.  They are playing again tonight, wearing their new football kit which has been donated by the Bury Supporters Trust “Forever Bury”.  They look great; let’s hope their football skills match.

This week we are welcoming Mr Tariq Kayani from the READ Foundation School in Mirpur to our school again. This is an important link for us and he will be joining Y5 and Y6 on their trip to York this week.
