The Woodlands

We are delighted to be your new teachers and look forward to working with you and your family this year.

Miss Cusack teaches in The Grove every morning, Monday through to Friday.

Mrs Whitaker is with us full-time, Monday through to Friday.

Please send your children in wearing their PE kit on Tuesdays. They need a full PE kit. White polo top, black shorts and black sole trainers.

Reading books need to be in daily so we can read 1:1 with your child.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a member of staff. You can get in touch by using the class DoJo App.

Subject Overview Autumn Term 1

Our whole school value this half term is Thankfulness.

This term we will be focusing on:

Handwriting: We will be focusing on developing neat, accurately formed and confident handwriting skills.
1:1 Reading & Maths: Children will receive targeted 1:1 support with reading and maths, tailored to their individual needs and areas for development.
Reading at Home: Please can we all continue to listen to our children read regularly at home. The impact of home reading on their progress is huge! We will continue working hard in school on Read Write Inc. (RWI), and your support at home makes a real difference.
