Welcome to Year 5

We are delighted to be your new teachers and look forward to working with you and your family this year.

Mrs Aslam and Mrs Fiaz are the class teachers. Mrs Aslam teaches class on Mondays & Tuesdays. Mrs Fiaz teaches on Wednesday mornings, Thursdays & Fridays

Mr Mahmood supports the children within the class.

Key Information

  • PE is on a Tuesdays, please send children into school in their PE kits.
  • School dinners can be ordered on SchoolGrid before 8AM

Subject Overview Autumn Term 1

Our whole school value this half term is Thankfulness. 

This term we will be:

  • Calculating with decimal fractions and converting units.
  • We will investigate different mixtures and learn how materials can be separated using a variety of methods.
  • Using The Queen of the Falls as our inspiration, we will develop our writing skills by creating engaging diary entries from a character's perspective.
  • We will discuss what it means for Christians to believe that God is both holy and loving, and how these beliefs influence their lives.
  • We will explore the physical and human geography of North America, including its countries, and diverse environments.
  • We will build our understanding of Computer Science through problem-solving and programming activities.
  • Continuing to learn the ukelele in Music
