Holy Trinity joins The Sycamore Trust

Sunday 1st Sep 2024

Welcome to the Sycamore Church of England Trust.

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to you as both Roch Valley schools, St. Thomas’s and Holy Trinity,
will join the Sycamore Church of England Trust as strong partners from 1st September 2024. This is an exciting
development for both trust communities, and we are thrilled to embark on this new journey together.

We are an inclusive and distinctive trust where everything begins and ends with the children. We want to ensure
that we have a profound impact on the lives of our children so that they have choices and options which will
enable them to flourish as they go through life. Quite simply, we put children first in all that we do.

We are committed to social mobility. We collaborate with our school teams, taking a shared responsibility for all
children, no matter which school they attend within our trust family.

We invest in people, enabling them to flourish and ensure that every child is taught by a great teacher. Our
wellbeing strategy enables us to nurture, develop and care for our colleagues so that they can provide the very
best for all our children.

We want every child to experience an excellent curriculum which is distinctive to their community and create
environments where they are cared for, inspired, challenged, and develop a deep love of learning.

As part of the Sycamore Trust family of schools, Holy Trinity and St. Thomas’s will benefit from enhanced
collaboration, resources, and support, which will enable us to provide an even better educational experience for
all our children. This new partnership will bring a wealth of opportunities for our trust community, ensuring that
we continue to strive for excellence in teaching and learning.

Together, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can
thrive academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

As the Roch Valley community joins the Sycamore Trust, we assure you that the Roch Valley core values and
commitment to pupils remains unchanged. We will continue to provide a high-quality education that empowers
pupils to reach their full potential and prepares them for their future endeavours.

We believe that a strong partnership between the school, parents, and the wider community is crucial for the
success of our pupils. We value your involvement and support, and we encourage you to actively engage with
us in various school activities, events, and initiatives. Together, we will create a vibrant and thriving learning
community for the communities that we serve across Bury.

We understand that you may have questions about this transition, and we are here to address them. Our
dedicated staff members are available to provide any information you may require and offer reassurance during
this period of change. Please feel free to reach out to leaders at the school for any queries or assistance.

Once again, we extend our warmest welcome to you as we embark on this new chapter together. We look
forward to building strong relationships, fostering a positive learning environment, and achieving great success.

Yours sincerely,
Mr. I. Young
