Drop-off and collection
At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements must be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Universal Free School meal.
You do not have to apply for these. But if your child is in a Key Stage 1 Year Group and you get one of the qualifying incomes it will help the school if you make a claim for free school meals, as they can get extra funding.
From Year 3 onwards, to pay for school meals via School grid please go to https://schoolgrid.co.uk
The price of a school meal is £2.70 per day, £13.50 per week, this must be payed weekly.
Parents do not have to pay for school lunches if they receive any of the following:
If you think you are eligible and want to claim for free meals please contact www.bury.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or telephone on 0161 253 5858 or email at freeschoolmeals@bury.gov.uk
Children bring their own bottle containing plain water only that can be refilled in school. Juice can be put in a child's packed lunch but no fizzy drinks or cans. This juice is to be drank at lunch time only.
